Job Description
As a Dentist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive oral health care to patients of all ages. Your day-to-day work will focus on assessment, treatment, education, and leadership within the dental team.
Key Responsibilities

Conducting detailed assessments by using radiographs, salivary testing, and reviewing patients’ medical and dental histories to accurately diagnose oral diseases and conditions.

Providing preventive dental care, including periodontal treatments, fluoride applications, and education programs to promote good oral health and prevent disease.

Performing restorative treatments such as fillings, crowns, bridges, dental implants, and orthodontic procedures to repair and improve teeth function and aesthetics.

Carrying out oral surgical procedures including extractions, tissue biopsies, and prescribing appropriate medications to manage pain and infections.

Delivering routine orthodontic care, including diagnosing malocclusions and applying corrective treatments to align teeth and jaws.

Restoring oral function through the design, fabrication, and fitting of removable and fixed prosthetic appliances such as dentures and mouthguards.

Identifying systemic health conditions with oral manifestations (e.g., diabetes, nutritional deficiencies) and referring patients for appropriate medical care.

Educating and counselling patients on effective oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and habits that contribute to long-term dental health.

Maintaining accurate records of patient histories, treatment plans, and progress in compliance with professional and legal standards.

Leading and mentoring the dental care team, which may include hygienists, therapists, assistants, and other specialists, to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
